This building and the neighboring tenement at 317 East 3^rd Street were built in 1905 by Jacob Fish of 735 East 5^th Street.

The buildings designed by architects Sass & Smallheiser of 23 Park Row. In 1939 a number of alterations were completed by the owner Berotel Realty Corp., including changing the storefronts, removing the front stoop and stairs to the cellar as well as creating two new apartments.
