Description & Building Alterations

Originally these were two separate pre-law tenements, but were joined in 1941 into one large building. They were built together with nos. 288 and 286 in 1872, designed by Richard Shapter and owned by Simon Ropman. Details have been removed from the upper floors, though they probably looked very similar to those at no. 288 and 286. The front parapet was rebuilt in 1998.

What is the Building Blocks Project
