This building is one of three on Lot 8. Numbers 26 and 28 Avenue C most likely were built as stables and/or secondary parts to the main house at 270 East 3rd Street. 26 Avenue C is the only one of the three to have original brickwork. The other facades probably matched this at one point, but were refaced over the years.
