The building at 274 East 4^th Street is owned by the New York Housing Authority and stretches through the center of the block and to the corner of Avenue C and East Third Street.

Many lots were consolidated for the construction of this complex in 1971, including lots 23-35 on East 4^th Street and lots 43-51 on Avenue C and East 3^rd Street. The complex is called Mariana Bracetti Plaza and houses 108 families. Based on earlier Certificates of Occupancy, previous uses for this site included a service station and parking lot on former lots 32 and 33 in 1952 and a parking lot spanning lots 45-51 in 1940.
