Description & Building Alterations
According to tax assessment records, this tenement building was constructed along with Lots 35 and 36 in 1851 by developer C. DuBois. Originally the façade faced out onto the First Avenue elevated train which has since been removed. The store at the rear of the building was extended in 1960. According to tax photos, the original store front and the cornice has been removed as well. It is four stories in height, three bays wide, and clad in modern brick with stone lintels.
