Description & Building Alterations
According to the Office for Metropolitan History, this ten-story hospital building was constructed in 1965 by the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary. Architects Rogers & Butler designed this building as an addition to the adjacent New York Eye & Ear Infirmary, originally constructed in 1893. The bottom two stories are clad in dark gray material and come out to the street wall. The upper six stories are set back from the base, fourteen bays wide with simple punched windows.
