Description & Building Alterations

This four-bay wide, six-story with basement tenement was erected in 1899 for 24 families. The building was designed by Schneider & Herter, who had many works in East Village/Lower East Side.

The present facade features patterned brickwork, beltcourses, molded window lintels, round-arched window openings at the third story, an entrance portico with Corinthian columns supporting a molded round arch and a bracketed door hood on top.
