Description & Building Alterations

Likely built circa 1853, 221 Second Avenue has been heavily altered from its original Italianate row house appearance. Originally, the row house had a pressed-metal cornice, simple, arched window enframements, and a wide, raise-stoop entrance. The two-story brick addition to the front of the building was likely added in the late 1950s and has been altered since that time.
