Description & Building Alterations

This six-story brick tenement building was constructed in 1902 and was converted into condominiums in 1997.

The number of units was reduced by half during the conversion, due to the removal of walls and the increased square footage per unit. The building was constructed by architects Bernstein and Bernstein and the façade retains many original details, including pedimented windows and a cornice with decorative garlands. The railings of the iron fire escape are detailed with round elements and scrolls, whereas other buildings on the block have simple railings and posts.
