Description & Building Alterations

This four story brick and stone apartment building was constructed 1870-71. The altered Italianate building features segmental fenestration decorative wrought-iron fire escape. Other significant architectural details include projecting window sills, molded lintels, and historic fluted cast-iron columns at the basement. It used to have a large Mansard roof as seen in the 1940s tax photo. This was formerly known as lot 16.

What is the Building Blocks Project
