Description & Building Alterations

This old law tenement building was completed between 1851 and 1852 for Patrick McCormuch. In 1940 all the water closets were removed and replaced with new bathrooms. At this time the owner was Anthony Rinobom and the architect was Frank Laspia. 209 First Avenue is four stories in height, three bays wide, and clad in brick. There is a bracketed cornice and the storefront has been significantly altered.
