This building was originally constructed as a four-story tenement between 1849 and 1850. The tax assessment record for 1849 is missing, so the exact owner and date of construction is uncertain. The facade of the first story has been altered several times. The original facade featured slightly projecting piers with various patterned brickwork flanking the building, splayed brick lintels in nuanced forms with foliated keystones, incised brickwork at the second and fourth stories, and a stepped parapet. In 2013 the building was renovated and two additional floors were added. The facade was significantly altered, though some of the original ornamentation remains, such as the splayed brick lintels and incised brickwork. The patterned brickwork flanking the building was extended.
