Description & Building Alterations

Lot 18 consists of a six-story Old Law Tenement built in 1896.

This six story, four bay structure is clad in brick and the center two bays are recessed.  The windows are capped by varying decorative stone elements.  The cornice was removed after the 1980’s.  There were stores on either side of the entrance well into the latter part of the twentieth century, and support columns that once outlined the storefronts can still be seen on either side of the façade. A new Certificate of Occupancy issued in 1999 indicates that the building now contains solely residential units.
