This six-story new law tenement was one of three buildings erected in 1907 by owner Charles Weinstein and architect George Frederick Pelham. The building is faced with light colored brick and retains handsome ornamental features including terra cotta keystones and belt courses. Its cornice has been removed.

What is the Building Blocks Project

The site explores the area generally considered today as the East Village: from a northern border of 14th Street to a southern border of Houston Street, Avenue D in the east to 4th Avenue/the Bowery to the west.
