Description & Building Alterations

This five-story brick tenement building was erected in 1867, at the same time as the rest buildings in this block on First Avenue.

Its present facade features segmental-arched window openings with molded lintels, footed sills, and basket-style fire balconies. It is unclear when the historical cornice was replaced by the current stepped parapet.

What is the Building Blocks Project
