Description & Building Alterations

This five-story, pre-law tenement was built in 1878 in the Neo-Grec style. The building retains its original detailed cornice. However, its brownstone lintels, which likely had incised details similar to those on the cornice, have been stuccoed over, leaving little of the original details visible. The ground-floor shops and the raised stoop entrance have been removed. The building now holds condo apartments.
