183 Avenue B | Block : 394 | Lot #5
Description & Building Alterations
In 2019, building permits were filed for the demolition of this 1840s row house and the construction of an eight-story structure in its place. By 2020 the 1840s house had been demolished.
It was the northern-most building in a row of three identical buildings. The facade of 183 Avenue B had been stuccoed over, but the simple Greek Revival brownstone lintels and sills and cornice with dentil details were still intact and readable.
