An alteration record indicates the building was utilized as a horseshoeing shop in 1887. In 1905, the ground level was converted into a store front. The building underwent an alteration by Harrison & Sackheim in 1909, which consisted of removing 9’6″ of brickwork at the first story and constructing show windows and a new entrance.
