17 Avenue D | Block : 372 | Lot #37
Description & Building Alterations
The buildings at numbers 15, 17, and 19 Avenue D were all constructed together in 1835. The original Flemish Bond brickwork is evident on Number 15, signaling that all three buildings were constructed as Federal style row houses. The shell of 17 Avenue D appears to remain, but the facade has been refaced. No original ornamentation exists, and a small amount of height has been added. In 1972, a nightclub called D.17 Lounge was housed here.
