Description & Building Alterations

Based on a series of tax records, 17-19 Avenue B was constructed in 1852. The four-story store and dwelling was originally owned by Hiram Nott and faced in brick. In a 1980s tax photo, the façade is covered in a stucco-like material and has fenestration different from that of today, changes that may be explained by the attached building permits.

What is the Building Blocks Project
