There is a scarcity of documentation on this building. Four five-story old law tenements stood on four separate lots before they were combined and completely refaced in glazed brick, likely by 1961. A Certificate of Occupancy from that year indicates that there were thirteen apartments on each floor, which would have been too many in a standard-size tenement building.
