Description & Building Alterations

This new law tenement, along with its sister building at 140 Avenue C, was constructed in 1903 to the designs of Alfred E. Badt. Although this building has since lost its cornice, it is visible in the c. 1940 tax photo available in the side bar. It would have been identical to the one that still exists at no. 140.

Despite the loss of the cornice and alterations to the ground floor storefronts, the building still displays a rich amount of detail on the upper floors.
