Description & Building Alterations

This five-story tenement with penthouse addition was originally constructed with four stories and a basement in 1845.

The structure has been through multiple exterior alterations. Most historic details on the facade are not visible today. The original front wall was replaced in 1912. In 1914 the historic stoop, cornice, and storefront were replaced by new ones. The basement was blocked and main entry was moved to ground level in 1946. During a renovation in 1997, the fifth floor and penthouse were added.
