Description & Building Alterations

Tax records indicate that this building, originally a single-family row house with a stoop, was constructed in 1848. It likely would have had Greek Revival features similar to No. 120 two doors down. In 1876 the rear walls were rebuilt by the owner Mrs. Leggett of Westchester County.  At the time, the building was occupied as a store and dwelling.  In 1910 a one-story rear addition was built.

Sometime after 1930, the facade was re-clad in brick veneer and a one-story rooftop addition was built (this is possibly when the building lost its cornice).

*This is the full name given in the handwritten original tax record.
