Description & Building Alterations

This building was built in 1879 and designed by A. H. Blankenstein as a store and four-story residence with a tin roof and iron cornice. Its original details were still intact circa the 1940 tax photo including the cornice. Its current stripped facade most likely dates to an alteration in 1950.

What is the Building Blocks Project
