Description & Building Alterations
This neo-grec five-story tenement was constructed in 1881. It is located in the East Village/Lower East Side Historic District.
The present facade features some of the original decorations including significant features like an elaborate galvanized-iron cornice, incised stone lintels and footed sills, stone banding on the sill courses, a decorative stone cornice between the first and second stories with an entablature over the door among others.
