Description & Building Alterations

This five-story with basement tenement was constructed in 1873. It is located in the East Village/Lower East Side Historic District and is in the Italianate style with many alterations.

The present facade features a few significant feature like the stone enframement on the second story, the brick arch over the eastern storefront and the cast-iron columns at outside edges of the building. Most historic details like the window lintels and sills, and the cornice have been stripped. More information can be found in the Designation Report, linked in the “Additional Resources” section.
