The row houses at No. 26 to 30 East 2nd Street recall a time when this portion of Second Avenue was a very desirable residential thoroughfare. The surrounding blocks were once lined with single-family houses such as these.

This building at No. 26 features Flemish bond brickwork, as well as brownstone used for entrance enframement, window lintels and sills. There are attic windows under the wood cornice with fascia.
