Description & Building Alterations

The original owner and date of construction for this building are unknown, but the building appears on the 1853 map as a three-story building and therefore predates this year. In the 1868 map, it is marked as a four-story building. Its footprint and height stay consistent throughout the years on the historic maps hereafter. In 1936, two stores occupied the first story, the owner was Sicule Operating Corp, and the architect was Michael J. Mongiello. It is four bays wide with punched windows and clad in brick. The storefront has been highly altered and the cornice and lintels have been removed.
