Description & Building Alterations

This new-law tenement building was designed by George F. Pelham for owner Charles I. Weinstein in 1902. The Renaissance Revival building was altered in 1946 when two first floor apartments were combined, leaving three stores and three apartments on the first floor and six apartments on each of the upper stories. Presently, it is six stories in height and six bays wide. The front elevation is symmetrically arranged. It is clad in brick with stone ornament in the classically inspired window surrounds, lintels, and sills. The second floor has window enframements and the third and fourth floors have triangular and round pediments over the windows. The top floor features round arched windows and the cornice has modillions, brackets, and dentil molding. The storefront has been modernized.
