This New Law tenement was constructed in 1902 and designed by George Frederick Pelham. It originally housed 22 families; the ground floor was used as stores. Pelham, who designed a large number of buildings in the East Village, was a prolific architect of apartments, hotels, churches, synagogues and banks throughout New York City.
