222 Avenue B | Block : 407 | Lot #34
Description & Building Alterations
The four-story building at 222 Avenue B was likely built as a row house and later converted into a multiple dwelling structure. The facade has been altered over the years, but retains what appears to be the remnants of a Greek Revival cornice. It is missing most of the original block modillions. Two single-bay balconies were installed on the third and fourth floors in the rightmost bay sometime after 2009. The windows behind the balconies were replaced by vinyl and glass doors.
