Description & Building Alterations

A stable existed at No. 8 East 2nd Street as early as 1833. The building remained a stable until 1873, until when the two-story building was expanded into a four-story building, as tax assessment records indicate. It is at this point in time that tax records no longer indicate the structure as a stable.

A one story addition took place in 2009 that significantly altered the third floor and fourth floor facades.
