35 East 7th Street | Block : 463 | Lot #40
Description & Building Alterations
This row house was built in 1833. Simple moldings grace each window and more elaborate moldings serve the main entrance’s archway and the top story. Flemish bond is only visible on two and a half stories, indicating that an extra floor has been built and the third floor has been raised. In 1896, an application was submitted indicating that the building was used as a dwelling for one family. In 1909, another application to raise the attic ceiling and walls was submitted, indicating that the building was tenementized.
