Description & Building Alterations

This six-story with basement brick tenement was originally built in 1900 (NB 243-00), designed by architect Michael Bernstein for the Nielberg Bros.

The present facade features patterned brickwork, curved window openings at the first and second stories with splayed brick lintels, beltcourses, incised brick panels at the upper stories, round-arched window openings under brick arches with incised details and keystones at the fifth story, and projecting brick piers at the sixth story. The entrance has been moved from the first story to the basement, and the historical cornice has been removed.
