208 East 7th Street | Block : 389 | Lot #22
Description & Building Alterations
No. 208 East 7th Street was constructed along with another building at 212 East 7th Street in 1903 by architect George Frederick Pelham.
This brick-clad structure is six stories in height and eight bays wide. The window surrounds are in limestone with various classical elements including scrolled keystones and arched pediments. The two outer bays on either side of the façade bow outward to give this building a sense of grandeur. The cornice is intact and has modillions and brackets set above triglyphs with decorative panels at the frieze. On the ground floor, a central entrance is flanked on either side by storefronts, some portions of which are original.
