Description & Building Alterations

Built as one of four identical tenements, 190 East 3rd has lost most of its original details but retains its proportions and fenestration pattern. Like its neighbor at no. 188, it would have originally had arched window lintels and bracketed sills, a raised stoop entrance and a metal cornice with a central arched pediment. In 1961 its ground floor shops were replaced with apartments.
