Description & Building Alterations

Built in 1894 by architect Charles Rentz for himself and co-owner Andrew Brose, this six-story old law tenement was designed to house twenty families. The upper stories are clad in buff brick with a mixture of ornamental deails including terra cotta and red brick at the windows. In 1937, the projecting high stone steps were removed and a new entrance was installed.

What is the Building Blocks Project
