108 East 10th Street | Block : 465 | Lot #11
Description & Building Alterations
This 1867 row house was designed by architects D. & J. Jardine for developer Jame Mulry as a single family dwelling.
The building, which is identical to its neighbors at Numbers 110 and 106 East 10th, is of the Italianate style with simple, understated ornamentation in the form of stone cornice slabs supported by brackets surrounding the entry and above each window, a bracketed cornice, and decorative paneled stonework at the basement and ground floor levels. This group of row houses compliments the larger, grander row that occupies the triangular eastern portion of this half-block in material and composition, and is also a part of the St. Mark’s Historic District, designated in 1969. More information on this building is available in the Landmarks Preservation Commission’s designation report.
