Description & Building Alterations

This building was originally erected as a four-story with basement house in 1851. In 1876, owner Henry Bauer raised the building by 5 feet with a design by architect William Graul. In 1887 the storefront was extended to the street line.

It went through multiple alterations throughout the 20th century. The current facade features a bracketed cornice with dentils and frieze, and rectangular window sills.
