Description & Building Alterations

No. 10 East 2nd Street was once a two-story stable from as early as 1833 and between 1878 and 1879, the property value jumped possibly indicating the alteration of the 1833 structure or a new build. An 1853 map reveals that the stable was set back on the lot, whereas by 1885, the building on the lot extends to the front lot line.

Between 1926 to 1927 it was extended into a four-story garage. The building was refaced and its interior was renovated when the third and fourth stories were added in 2001.
